About the Role: As a Non-working Supervisor - Groundworks and Highways, you will oversee multiple live projects, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the required standard. This is a non-working supervisory role, with responsibility for monitoring site activities, supporting site teams and maintaining communication between sites and the office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Visiting multiple live sites throughout the working week
- Supervising groundworks, highways, drainage and tarmac final surfacing operations
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Identifying site issues and helping teams resolve them quickly and effectively
- Carrying out quality, safety and progress inspections
- Reporting progress, updates and any concerns back to the office
- Liaising with site operatives, management and clients where required
- Promoting high standards of health and safety across all projects
- Supporting the successful delivery of projects valued up to £500,000
The successful candidate will have previous supervisory experience within groundworks, highways or civil engineering, together with strong knowledge of road construction, drainage and asphalt surfacing.
