The Contracts Manager will oversee commercial and aviation surfacing projects, ensuring they are properly planned, resourced and delivered to the required standards.
The role will involve
- Managing surfacing contracts from commencement through to completion.
- Overseeing commercial and aviation projects across the South of England.
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
- Monitoring programme, costs, resources and project progress.
- Working closely with site management and surfacing crews to ensure works are delivered efficiently.
- Maintaining clear communication with customers and project stakeholders.
- Identifying and resolving practical issues that arise during project delivery.
- Ensuring health and safety requirements are maintained across projects.
- Supporting the planning and procurement of materials, plant and labour.
- Reviewing project requirements and ensuring the appropriate surfacing solution is delivered.
- Managing project documentation and maintaining accurate records.
- Travelling to sites as required, including occasional nationwide projects.
- Working across a range of asphalt, tarmac, resin and associated surfacing works.
The company has experience delivering aviation projects involving runway, taxiway and apron surfacing, as well as concrete repairs, joint treatments, AGL and lining.
Commercial work includes ports, retail parks, warehousing, commercial developments and specialist forecourt surfacing.
Previous experience in surfacing projects is essential.
Experience within commercial surfacing or aviation surfacing would be particularly relevant, although strong candidates with a solid background in other areas of surfacing will also be considered.
