Quantity Surveyor – Structural Steel Position Based in Either – Glengarnock, East Kilbride, Durham or Scarborough Full-Time, permanent position Salary – £55,000 – £75,000 (DOE) Up Front Recruitment is working with a well established structural steel contractor.. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Structural Steel commercial team as a Quantity Surveyor. This is a full-time role, with flexibility on location. The position can be based from Glengarnock, East Kilbride, Durham or Scarborough. The ideal candidate will come from a structural steel background and have a strong commercial track record.. Key Responsibilities * Manage all Quantity Surveying duties across major steelwork projects. * Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. * Monitor project costs from pre-contract through to final account. * Support the negotiation and management of sub-contractor packages. * Ensure timely valuations, applications and payments. * Handle change control, variations and final account agreements. What We\’re Looking For * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within structural steel or steel fabrication. * Commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts. * Experience supporting main contractor projects through sub-contract arrangements. * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet key deadlines.
