Up Front Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading civil engineering and construction contractor delivering high-quality groundworks, RC frames, and infrastructure projects across London and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a progressive and growing business known for its technical expertise, professionalism, and collaborative working culture.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects from tender through to final account. Working closely with project managers and site teams, you’ll ensure each project is delivered profitably, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing project costs and budgets across groundworks, RC frame, and civil engineering schemes
- Preparing, negotiating, and agreeing contracts, variations, and final accounts
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth commercial delivery
- Supporting tender processes and cost planning
- Producing accurate financial reports and forecasts for senior management
- Managing risks, valuations, and payment applications in line with company procedures
Requirements
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or civil engineering
- Background in groundworks, RC frame, or related civils projects
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive, detail-focused approach with strong commercial acumen
