Project Manager – Office Based
Location: Manchester / North West, United Kingdom
Salary: £40,000 + phone & expenses
We are looking for an Office Based Project Manager to join a leading retail design and manufacturing company in Manchester. This is an opportunity to build a career in the retail design industry, working with a business that has supplied award-winning store equipment and modular retail solutions for over 30 years.
Responsibilities
- Managing projects with contract values between £100K and £1M
- Dealing directly with PLC retail clients on purchasing, installation, and delivery of shop equipment
- Overseeing project execution and managing project timelines
- Coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Managing budgets and ensuring value engineering at every stage
- Scheduling and expediting project activities
- Providing regular updates to senior management
- Occasional minimal travel to client sites as required
You will report directly to the Contracts Manager, working alongside a supportive team of three senior managers. Initially, you will spend two months shadowing an experienced person in this position.
Requirements
- Strong Project Management skills, with experience managing project timelines and budgets
- Knowledge of expediting, inspections, and logistics management
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work full-time on-site in the Manchester area
- Degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
- Previous experience within the retail design, fit-out, or related industry is desirable
