About the Role
Senior Project Manager - BMS / Smart Buildings required for a major commercial office fit-out project in the City of London. The Senior Project Manager will lead delivery of an integrated intelligent buildings package covering BMS, EMS and smart systems integration across a high-spec commercial environment. The Senior Project Manager will take ownership from preconstruction through installation, commissioning and final handover. The role will suit someone with strong experience delivering technically led BMS and smart systems projects within fast-paced fit-out environments.
The project includes:
- Building Management Systems
- Energy Management Systems
- Smart building integration and analytics
- Tridium platform integration
- ABB Cylon FCU terminal controls
- HVAC controls and intelligent building functionality
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project delivery from preconstruction to completion
- Coordinating installation, commissioning and handover activities
- Leading planners, engineers, software teams, commissioning teams and subcontractors
- Managing programme delivery and short-term look-ahead planning
- Maintaining project quality, compliance and health & safety standards
- Supporting commercial management alongside the Quantity Surveyor
- Managing client coordination and stakeholder communication
- Overseeing integrated testing and commissioning processes
- Driving project progress against demanding programme deadlines
- Managing live coordination with multiple trades on site
- Ensuring successful QA, witnessing and handover procedures
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Strong BMS project delivery experience
- Previous experience on commercial fit-out projects
- Good technical understanding of smart buildings and EMS integration
- Experience managing commissioning-heavy projects
- Strong programme and coordination skills
- Commercial awareness and contractual understanding
- Experience using MS Project or Asta Powerproject
- Confident leadership and communication skills
