About the Role
Senior Project Manager - BMS / Smart Buildings required for a major commercial office fit-out project in the City of London. The Senior Project Manager will lead delivery of an integrated intelligent buildings package covering BMS, EMS and smart systems integration across a high-spec commercial environment. The Senior Project Manager will take ownership from preconstruction through installation, commissioning and final handover.
The project includes:
- Building Management Systems
- Energy Management Systems
- Smart building integration and analytics
- Tridium platform integration
- ABB Cylon FCU terminal controls
- HVAC controls and intelligent building functionality
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project delivery from preconstruction to completion
- Coordinating installation, commissioning and handover activities
- Leading planners, engineers, software teams, commissioning teams and subcontractors
- Managing programme delivery and short-term look-ahead planning
- Maintaining project quality, compliance and health & safety standards
- Supporting commercial management alongside the Quantity Surveyor
- Managing client coordination and stakeholder communication
- Overseeing integrated testing and commissioning processes
- Driving project progress against demanding programme deadlines
- Managing live coordination with multiple trades on site
- Ensuring successful QA, witnessing and handover procedures
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Strong BMS project delivery experience
- Previous experience on commercial fit-out projects
- Good technical understanding of smart buildings and EMS integration
- Experience managing commissioning-heavy projects
- Strong programme and coordination skills
- Commercial awareness and contractual understanding
- Experience using MS Project or Asta Powerproject
- Confident leadership and communication skills
