Plant Fitter £44,720 per annum plus overtime Equivalent to £21.50 per hour, based on a 40-hour week Location: Kingswinford, West Midlands Full-time, Permanent A construction machinery business is looking for two experienced Plant Fitters to join its team. With a mix of workshop repairs and mobile servicing, this Plant Fitter role offers variety, manufacturer training and very little Saturday working. For a Plant Fitter who enjoys diagnosing faults and getting machinery back to work, there is plenty to get involved in. The business supplies and supports equipment including excavators, loaders, telehandlers and access machinery. You’ll have a van, fuel card, phone and tablet supplied, along with training on CASE and Sunward equipment. This Plant Fitter opportunity would suit someone practical and dependable who takes pride in their work and gets on well with customers and colleagues. About the role The current split is approximately 60% workshop and 40% mobile work. Most call-outs are across the West Midlands and Warwickshire, although jobs can take you elsewhere in the UK. You’ll carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs, investigate breakdowns and use diagnostic equipment to identify faults accurately. You should be comfortable working independently on site and supporting the team in the workshop. What you’ll need Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, with a sound understanding of plant machinery and confidence using Jaltest and other diagnostic tools. You’ll need a methodical approach to fault-finding, a full driving licence and a willingness to travel when required. The package Alongside the supplied equipment and manufacturer training, you’ll receive standard holiday entitlement and a workplace pension.
