About the Role
As a Financial Due Diligence specialist, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of buy-side FDD engagements, from initial scoping through to final reporting. This is a hands-on, client-facing position requiring confidence, independence and strong commercial judgement.
Key elements of the Buy-Side Financial Due Diligence role include:
- Leading buy-side FDD projects end to end, owning scope, planning, timelines and delivery quality
- Producing clear, decision-useful analysis focused on value, risk and deal implications
- Assessing earnings sustainability, working capital, cash conversion, debt-like items and run-rate adjustments
- Translating complex financial analysis into commercially relevant insight for acquirers
- Managing day-to-day client relationships and running workstream calls with confidence
- Maintaining high standards of data integrity, documentation and analytical defensibility
- Coaching and overseeing junior team members to ensure quality, clarity and pace
- Improving templates, workplans and tooling to enhance consistency and efficiency
- Supporting buy-side opportunity scoping and helping protect margin through effective delivery
- Contributing to the firm’s reputation as a trusted advisor to repeat acquirers
