Location: Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Institute of Technology (IoT) in Stafford and NSCG Stafford Campus.

Faculty: Skills and Technology.

Salary: Total overall package of up to £66,613 in year 1, comprising a salary of £36,846 – £47,133.

Employer pension contributions up to £13,480.

Golden Hello payment up to £5,000 or DfE bursary up to £6,000 (if in 1st 5 years of teaching), subject to terms & conditions.

Full‑time, 37 hours per week.

Holiday: 52 days per year, inclusive of bank holidays and Christmas closure.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Vice Principal – Institute of Technology and the Curriculum Manager in becoming the innovative technical education provider of choice for the region.
• Plan, implement and deliver high-quality engineering programmes predominantly at Level 4/5 to support growth in Higher Education (HE) engineering student numbers.
• Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring of student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking internal and external exams, developing and preparing a range of flexible and innovative learning materials.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in one or more engineering disciplines and relevant industrial experience within the sector, with Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics experience desirable.
• Technically and occupationally competent in their field of engineering and willing to learn new technologies.
• Holding teaching qualifications from the FE/HE sector.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
