Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) is one of the very best colleges in the country. In October 2024 we became the first and only further education provider in England to achieve a full set of outstanding grades in consecutive Ofsted Inspections.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery. Candidates should have joinery qualifications with appropriate industrial experience and be competent to teach and assess up to Level 3 in that area.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering outstanding teaching & learning to students, principally at Levels 1 to 3.
- Preparation and assessment responsibilities.
- Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
Required Skills And Experience:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject and with recent and extensive industrial experience.
- Has a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) or willingness to train for one.
- Be well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
- Able to communicate effectively with students and peers.
