As Senior Sales & Brand Manager for Bat & Ball, you will lead the commercial performance and growth of the brand, driving revenue, brand awareness and customer engagement across multiple venues. Working closely with the Director of Sales, you will develop and deliver the sales strategy, lead and develop a team of Sales Managers, and identify new opportunities to increase pre-booked revenue and strengthen the brand's market position. The role may include some weekend/evening work.

Main Objectives and Duties

  • Live the Culture: Protect and positively promote the culture of UPB.
  • Ensure all business activity sits within the framework of the companies' values.
  • Always demonstrate a genuine belief and pride in UPB and act as an inspiration to others by ensuring a positive working environment that encourages team spirit, awareness, and interaction between departments and sites.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work with Operations and the wider Sales Team to develop and implement the commercial strategy for Bat & Ball.
  • Identify new sales opportunities, revenue streams and partnership initiatives that strengthen the brand's market position.
  • Proactively identify, target and win new corporate clients to drive long-term revenue growth across the Bat & Ball estate.
  • Build, maintain and grow a comprehensive corporate client database, creating opportunities for repeat business and strategic account development.
  • Develop relationships with key businesses, agencies and event bookers to position Bat & Ball as a preferred venue partner.
  • Drive private hire, Christmas, summer party and full venue takeover sales, maximising high-value booking opportunities across the brand.
  • Create tailored sales plans for key corporate accounts, focusing on increasing booking frequency, spend and venue utilisation.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour to inform future business decisions.
  • Lead the annual sports calendar strategy, ensuring key sporting moments are maximised through targeted sales and marketing plans.
  • Develop booking and event strategies around major sporting fixtures to drive spend per head, pre-booked revenue and guest engagement.
  • Position Bat & Ball as a leading destination for live sport, increasing awareness across both corporate and consumer audiences.
  • Support acquisition and new opening projects, including pre-opening sales plans, launch strategies and integration into the wider Bat & Ball brand.
  • Represent Bat & Ball at relevant industry networking events, exhibitions, sports, corporate and hospitality events.
  • Develop relationships with key corporate clients, event organisers, sports partners and community stakeholders.
  • Report on and regularly review performance, identifying opportunities to improve revenue, conversion and customer retention.
  • Champion new ideas that improve commercial performance and strengthen the Bat & Ball brand.
  • Act as the guardian of the Bat & Ball brand, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and increase booking conversion through digital channels.
  • Manage and optimise third-party booking, event and venue listing platforms to maximise visibility, lead generation and conversion.
  • Oversee the brand's online presence, ensuring website content, venue listings and digital channels accurately reflect the Bat & Ball proposition.
  • Collaborate on activations and campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement and pre-booked sales.
  • Ensure all sales and marketing activity is aligned to commercial objectives and key trading periods.

KPIs

  • Deliver agreed annual pre-booked revenue and profit targets across the Bat & Ball estate.
  • Achieve team enquiry-to-booking conversion targets and drive year-on-year growth in booking value.
  • Increase brand awareness, lead generation and pre-booked sales through strategic partnerships, marketing initiatives and networking activity.
  • Develop and retain a high-performing sales team through coaching, training and performance management.
  • Successfully execute annual sports calendar campaigns, delivering growth in spend per head, event bookings and venue utilisation during key sporting moments.
  • Build strong working relationships with venue teams, suppliers, marketing colleagues and external partners to ensure successful event delivery.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in hospitality sales, events or business development.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience creating and implementing sales strategies across multiple revenue streams.
  • Experience working with a CRM and/or booking system (ideally Access Collins).
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
  • Multi-site hospitality experience preferred.
  • Experience within competitive socialising, experiential hospitality or premium leisure brands desirable.
