Stratford Subaru is looking for a General Sales Manager! The General Sales Manager will focus on overseeing the Variable Operations Department and lead the store's Sales growth strategy for 2026 and beyond. As a leader, they are responsible for budgeting, structuring, supervising, and training employees. They are responsible for ensuring the profitability of the department, supporting vehicle sales, and championing customer loyalty and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have exceptional knowledge of the auto industry and have demonstrated success in their previous roles.
Key Areas of Responsibility Include:
- Leading Variable Operations (new & used)
- Driving 2026 Variable budget and KPI performance
- Building, developing, and leading the sales team
- Recruiting and retaining top talent
- Strengthening CRM/process accountability and execution
- Collaborating with F&I and Fixed Ops to maximize overall performance
- Maintaining a hands-on leadership approach and strong store culture
- Providing support during the sales process, including supporting customer issues, and requests and finding out-of-the-box solutions
- Leading the way with marketing and advertising campaigns; ensuring vehicles are effectively displayed
Successful Candidates Possess:
- Experience in Automotive Dealership Sales Management
- Exceptional communication skills; both verbal and written with the ability to keep an upbeat and engaging attitude
- Ability to problem solve and high attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Experienced with DMS software: PBS in particular
- Ability to manage inventory and forecast sales
- Valid OMVIC certification
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must be adaptable to work evening and weekend shifts as needed

Position Status Disclosure:

The expected compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 /year (The range may vary based on experience and qualifications). This compensation encompasses base salary and vacation pay as required under Ontario Regulation 476/24 made under the Employment Standards Act, 2000.
