The Opportunity

Join UPA and make a real difference by helping older people live independently in their own homes while staying connected to their community. We provide person-centred care that promotes wellness, choice, and quality of life. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to safe, effective care and enriching the communities we serve. We currently have a Home Care Worker opportunity to join our Hunter region team based in Wallsend.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualised care using a person-centred approach as per client care plans
  • Assist with personal care, medications, transport, and respite services
  • Provide everyday living support such as domestic assistance, gardening, shopping, and meal preparation
  • Complete accurate and timely reporting of client services
  • Identify and report client risks via our incident management system

What You’ll Need:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support and Aged Care (highly desirable)
  • Medication Assist qualified (highly desirable)
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel
  • Registered and insured vehicle
  • Compassion, empathy, and a passion for helping others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confidence in using technology
