We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant – Corporate Finance to join our Corporate Finance team at our Corporate Office. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager – Corporate, this role will support the Corporate Finance team in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging finance professional looking to grow their career within a supportive and purpose-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes
- Preparing journals, reconciliations, and management reports
- Supporting general ledger and trial balance activities
- Assisting with bank, payroll, and credit card reconciliations
- Maintaining the Fixed Assets Register
- Supporting audits and compliance reporting
- Identifying and resolving financial discrepancies
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within finance systems and processes
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support financial operations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
- Experience preparing accounts to trial balance and performing reconciliations
- Knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, and financial reporting processes
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
- CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards professional accreditation
- Experience with finance ERP systems
- Exposure to process improvement initiatives
- Experience working within a large or multi-site organisation
