Our client is a fast-growing, DTC watch brand with a loyal community and an increasingly global footprint. They're looking for a Head of Communications & Events to cover a 12‑month maternity leave.
This is a senior role with real scope. You'll lead the Communications side of a two-track marketing function, working alongside the Head of Brand to keep strategy joined up across every customer touchpoint. Your patch covers PR, organic social, partnerships, events and a growing showroom network, with a team behind you across all of it. You'll report into the COO.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and develop a high‑performing Communications team across PR, social, partnerships and events, driving integrated planning with the Head of Brand and fostering strong collaboration across the wider business.
- On partnerships, you'll own the brand's sponsorship strategy, including some high‑profile sporting and media relationships, ensuring activity spans PR, social, content, events and showrooms in a joined‑up way.
- Across PR, you'll oversee global earned media strategy covering watch, lifestyle, business and mainstream press, support executive profiling for the founders and senior leadership, and manage crisis communications when needed.
- On organic social, you'll set the strategy across key channels, develop new content formats and series, and make sure social pulls its weight commercially as well as creatively.
- For events and showrooms, you'll oversee a global events calendar including launches, partnership activations and industry shows, and lead the marketing strategy for a growing showroom network, running a cross‑functional forum to keep stakeholders aligned.
- You'll also lead CSR activity, including an established charitable giving programme, managing the budget and external relationships, and helping tell that story internally and externally.
Who you are
- An experienced senior communications, brand or partnerships leader, comfortable owning a broad remit
- Confident leading teams across PR, social, events and partnerships simultaneously
- A strong collaborator who can work across functions without losing pace
- Commercially driven, able to connect brand activity to business outcomes
- Experienced in premium, lifestyle or luxury brand environments (watch or accessories a plus, not essential)
- Calm under pressure, experience with crisis comms, and strong communicating with stakeholders at every level
