The main purpose of this role is to grow ecommerce sales by ensuring accurate product inventory management, effective stock flow and a strong online customer experience. The role works across digital, buying and warehouse teams to support commercial performance through accurate product setup, stock management and online presentation. An interest in running, fitness and running product would be beneficial.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and upload product data for the website, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Upload order books ahead of seasonal launches and check accuracy before products go live.
- Work with marketing, buying, EPOS and warehouse teams to coordinate stock intake, schedule and action product launches and resolve any stock discrepancies.
- Manage online product visibility, pricing and launch activity, including sale and new-season launches.
- Analyse market trends and customer behaviour to improve visibility and sales performance.
- Monitor product life cycles and stock movement to maximise sell-through and reduce waste.
- Check stock levels align with physical warehouse stock.
- Work with our website agency to improve ecommerce performance and website efficiency.
- Support ad hoc website improvement projects with agency input.
- Use knowledge of running footwear technology, biomechanics and fit to support accurate online product recommendations.
Stock Management:
- Manage stock throughout its lifecycle, from launch to exit, ensuring products are correctly uploaded, promoted and moved into sale collections to support ecommerce growth.
- Upload, launch and present products effectively on the website, working with brands on key assets.
- Track sell-through and inventory, sharing insight with agencies to support focus on priority and slower-moving lines.
- Update the website and homepage for key launches and seasonal events to keep content current and commercially focused.
- Work closely with the agency to improve website performance and drive sales.
Managing product lifecycle:
- Oversee stock and inventory management with the warehouse team, including product uploads, launches and end-of-life changes through daily monitoring.
- Upload product information from buyers, check accuracy before go-live and update where needed.
- Maintain accurate pricing, promotion and product selection for key trading periods such as sale.
- Support launches with relevant SEO keywords and rich content in partnership with our agency.
- Monitor keywords, metadata and competitor rankings to track long-term performance.
- Set products live when stock arrives, check inventory accuracy and update listings as required.
- Manage the setup and removal of digital seasonal campaigns, sometimes outside normal hours, and report on performance using traffic, revenue and average order value.
- Share weekly sell-through reports with social media agency to support social and paid activity.
- Support PPC activity via agency, monitor return on investment and report monthly to support wider business reporting.
General:
- Manage homepage content and creative so it aligns with brand guidelines, supports campaigns and maximises sales opportunities.
- Work with agency on ongoing improvements to keep the website current, effective and commercially focused.
- Keep homepage content current with key launches, priorities and stock investment.
- Monitor competitor rankings, search visibility and keyword performance.
- Maintain an appropriate working understanding of GDPR requirements.
- Build more efficient processes to improve the accuracy and delivery of product updates and launches.
- Support the continued growth of e-commerce and strategy as the role evolves.
