About The Role

We are on a mission to build the most effective learning experiences in the world, and we need your expertise to make it happen. Our Content and Learning team is hard at work improving our existing A-Level offering, and creating our first wave of GCSE Science courses.

This role is critical to hitting that goal. You\’ll combine subject knowledge in physics and maths with creative visual skills to produce exceptional educational content.

You\’ll work across two main areas:

  • Multimedia physics lessons: collaborate with Subject Leads and other Content Developers to create engaging and accurate visuals for our instructional content
  • No prior illustration or animation experience is required; we\’ll give you all of the tools and training you need to bring our lessons to life.
  • Quiz Development & Quality Assurance: contribute to quiz content for our physics and maths courses, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with learning objectives
  • You\’ll join a team that thrives on collaboration and problem-solving. With a small content development team, you\’ll have real responsibility and the opportunity to drive our content forward across physics and maths.

Where appropriate, we develop and use generative AI tools to assist Content Developers in their workflow.

If you\’re a quick learner, passionate about education, and excited by the idea of combining technical knowledge with creativity, this role is for you.

    About Us

Up Learn has built the world\’s most effective learning experience, combining cognitive science, instructional theory, and artificial intelligence.

    • Effective: 97% of students who complete Up Learn courses achieve an A*/A, starting from grades as low as Ds and Es
    • Engaging: Over 13 million hours of learning completed
    • Scaling: Tens of thousands of students, 800+ schools, and growing partnerships with universities, charities, and MATs

We are a strong team of around 50 employees, backed by investors like Forward Partners and the Branson family (Virgin). For every student who pays, we give a full scholarship to a student who can\’t.

    About You

You\’re a problem solver with a strong physics background (and ideally maths), able to switch between technical accuracy and creative storytelling. You\’re confident learning new tools and applying them quickly. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where your work has a direct impact on students\’ success. You\’re excited by the opportunity to combine human creativity and expertise with support from generative AI tools, where appropriate.

You might be a recent physics graduate, an experienced maths/physics tutor, or someone with a STEM background looking to apply your skills in EdTech.

    You should be:

    • Passionate about education and technology
    • Quick to learn new software and production workflows
    • Skilled at explaining complex concepts clearly
    • Comfortable switching between creative and technical tasks
    • Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy
