We are on a mission to build the most effective learning experiences in the world, and we need your expertise to make it happen. Our Content and Learning team is hard at work improving our existing A-Level offering, and creating our first wave of GCSE Science and Maths courses. This is a 12-month maternity leave cover position, with the potential to transition into a permanent role as our team and course library continue to expand.
This role is critical to hitting that goal. You’ll combine subject knowledge in maths and the sciences with creative visual skills to produce exceptional educational content. You’ll work across two main areas:
- Multimedia lessons: collaborate with Subject Leads and other Content Developers to create engaging and accurate visuals for our instructional content. No prior illustration or animation experience is required; we’ll provide all the tools and training you need to bring our lessons to life.
- Quiz Development & Quality Assurance: contribute to quiz content for our courses, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with learning objectives.
You’ll join a team that thrives on collaboration and problem-solving. With a small content development team, you’ll have real responsibility and the opportunity to drive our content forward across the sciences. Where appropriate, we develop and use generative AI tools to assist Content Developers in their workflow.
If you’re a quick learner, passionate about education, and excited by the idea of combining technical knowledge with creativity, this role is for you.
About you: You’re a problem solver with a strong maths background, able to switch between technical accuracy and creative storytelling. You’re confident in learning new tools and applying them quickly. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where your work has a direct impact on students’ success. You’re excited by the opportunity to combine human creativity and expertise with support from generative AI tools, where appropriate.
You might be a recent maths or science graduate, an experienced maths tutor, or someone with a STEM background looking to apply your skills in EdTech. You should be:
- Passionate about education and technology
- Quick to learn new software and production workflows
- Skilled at explaining complex concepts clearly
- Comfortable switching between creative and technical tasks
- Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy
Animation & Content Creation: Produce high-quality visual assets (animations and diagrams) that align with our animation style guide and multimedia learning principles. Fix past issues on live courses where required. Collaborate with a small team to meet weekly, monthly and quarterly deadlines. Take part in feedback loops, constantly improving composition and team working skills. Support other content developers in their work, ensuring technical accuracy throughout the project.
Quiz Development & Quality Assurance: Ensure all quiz content is accurate, high quality, and meets our guidelines for item design. Use graphic creation tools to create suitable diagrams where quizzes require them. Review and edit lesson scripts for technical accuracy and clarity.
