Up and Running Events is one of the UK’s fastest-growing running events companies. We put on weekly 5Ks, 10Ks and half marathons across Glasgow, with a huge community of runners and a growing portfolio of race concepts, including Formula Run and the Glasgow Running Festival.
About the role: This is event-day work across Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year, supporting our team to deliver smooth, safe and high-energy race days. If you love running, enjoy being outdoors and like being part of a team, it’s a perfect fit.
What you’ll be doing:
- Helping with event setup in the morning (bibs, barriers, flags, water stations, registration)
- Marshalling on the course and supporting runners
- Assisting with start and finish line operations
- Providing general event support throughout the morning
- Helping pack down after the event
Hours and progression: Most event shifts are early starts and finish by the afternoon. We will have multiple Edinburgh events across 2026, with opportunities to work regularly. There is also the potential for part-time or full-time work in the future if someone gains strong experience with us and shows they can help manage or run an event day themselves.
