Job Description
Job Summary
UOB Hong Kong is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Corporate Sales for our Global Markets division.
This role will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, expanding our client base, and delivering comprehensive financial solutions to Chinese Corporate clients.
The successful candidate will be a driven producer with a proven track record in corporate sales within a fast-paced financial institution.
- Job Responsibilities
- Independently develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets for Global Markets products and services, including foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives, commodities, and fixed income, for corporate clients.
- Effectively generating new business - identify new prospects and convert in line with bank's credit appetite
- Cultivate, and build strong relationships with Chinese clients decision makers, understand their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a smooth and efficient client experience.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including trading, relationship managers, risk management, operation and legal teams, to ensure seamless execution of client transactions and to develop innovative solutions.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to proactively identify new business opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and market insights to prospective and existing clients.
- Ensure all sales activities adhere to UOB's internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
- Manage client portfolios, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying cross-selling opportunities for other UOB products and services.
- Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in covering Chinese clients within Global Markets division
- Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets and growing client portfolios.
- Good understanding of a wide range of Global Markets products, including FX, options, interest rate derivatives, fixed income and commodities.
- Strong network of Chinese client relationships in Hong Kong/Chinas.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with different levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented environment.
- Native Mandarin and proficiency in English, Cantonese (both written and spoken) is essential for effective communication with diverse client base.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the financial industry.
- HKMA Type 1 & Type 4 licensed required
- Member of Treasury Markets Association (TMA) is preferred
- Holder of ECF on Treasury Management accredited by Treasury Markets Association is preferred
