We’re partnering with a highly successful IT and Cyber Security specialist that is continuing to experience significant growth across the UK private sector market. As a result, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of a Business Development Executive. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious sales professional with experience in lead generation, business development, SDR, BDR or internal sales within the technology sector who wants to accelerate their career in a business where progression is genuinely achievable.

The Role

Working alongside experienced sales and technical teams, you’ll play a key role in generating new business opportunities and opening doors with prospective customers across a range of industries. You’ll be responsible for building relationships with key decision-makers, identifying opportunities and creating a strong pipeline for the wider sales team. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys the challenge of new business development and wants to develop into a future Account Manager, Business Development Manager or Cyber Security Sales Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting
  • Engage with senior decision-makers across private sector organisations
  • Research and identify target accounts and key stakeholders
  • Build outreach campaigns via phone, email and LinkedIn
  • Book qualified meetings for senior sales consultants
  • Maintain CRM records and manage pipeline activity
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on lead generation initiatives
  • Develop knowledge of cyber security, managed services and cloud solutions
  • Contribute towards individual and team revenue targets

About You

  • Experience within Business Development, SDR, BDR, Internal Sales or Lead Generation
  • Previous experience within the IT, Technology, Managed Services or Cyber Security sector
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Commercially minded and target driven
  • Proactive, resilient and self-motivated
  • Experience using LinkedIn and CRM platforms for prospecting
  • Ambitious and eager to develop a long-term career in technology sales
