Role Purpose
The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and governing all quality control activities for suppliers across Europe and the Americas within a global, distributed quality organization. The role ensures that product-specific quality control requirements are consistently executed through third-party inspection agencies, that pre-shipment inspections (PSI) are correctly planned, reviewed, and enforced, and that finished goods meet approved specifications, regulatory requirements, and regional market standards prior to shipment. Operating in a highly international environment, the role acts as a central coordination and escalation point between suppliers, third-party inspection partners, global QA teams, procurement, regulatory, and regional operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control Coordination: Own and coordinate end-to-end QC activities for assigned suppliers/product categories across Europe & the Americas, focusing on regular PO flows and pre-shipment inspections (PSI). Ensure inspections align with product-specific QC rules; conduct detailed PSI outcome reviews, act as final pre-shipment QC approval gate, and elevate non-conformances as needed.
- Third-Party Inspection Management: Manage relationships with multi-regional third-party inspection agencies/laboratories; define inspection scope, timing, sampling levels & reporting requirements per approved QC standards. Review inspection reports, resolve inconsistencies/unclear findings, validate corrective actions; monitor regional inspection quality and agency performance.
- Cross-Functional & Global Coordination: Act as a key operational link between global QA teams, procurement, regulatory, and operations functions. Align closely with procurement and PO management teams to ensure QC execution supports on-time shipment while maintaining quality standards. Support supplier communication on QC requirements, inspection findings, and corrective actions, without owning commercial negotiations. Ensure QC approaches remain consistent while being appropriately adapted for regional, category, or regulatory differences.
- Regulatory & Documentation Alignment: Coordinate with regulatory/compliance teams to meet pre-shipment requirements (documentation, batch testing, product release). Aligning QC requirements with regional regulatory/market standards across Europe & the Americas; support traceability, batch control and audit readiness for relevant categories.
- Continuous Improvement & Risk Management: Identify recurring quality issues, inspection failures, and systemic risks, escalating trends with data-backed insights. Drive continuous improvement of QC processes, checklists and inspection partner performance; contribute to the development and refinement of global QC standards, tools, and reporting.
Product Categories in Scope:

Strong attention to detail with the confidence to challenge inspection outcomes when required.
Preferred Background: Experience in regulated or quality-sensitive categories such as supplements, food, pet consumables, or similar consumer goods.
