unybrands was established in 2020 by a group of partners united by a shared vision: to build the leading next-generation e-commerce platform for micro-brands. Headquartered in Miami, the company has a global presence with teams in Berlin, London, New York, and China. unybrands acquires e-commerce businesses that sell both on and off Amazon. Once acquired, these brands are integrated into unybrands' platform, where operations are optimized, business performance is enhanced, and expansion into new product lines and markets is driven. Currently, we have acquired 30 brands including Pet Care, Personal Care, Home Care, Supplements, Baby & Juvenile, Garden & Outdoor, Sports & Fitness, and Home, Lifestyle Culinary & Arts. Through expert management and robust infrastructure, unybrands empowers e-commerce brands to scale and thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and completion of unybrands' monthly financial reporting cycle.
- Analyse, interpret and report on brand and portfolio level performance – providing useful insights where possible.
- Build, enhance, and automate internal reporting dashboards and processes to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights.
- Assist CFO, FP&A team, and other key executives on Board and investor updates, presentation materials, and analyses.
- Support FP&A team and finance business partners around corporate-level financial decision-making, target setting, budget planning, and defining investment requirements.
- Provide end-to-end support on capital raising and M&A transactions (buy-side or sell-side).
- Engage and collaborate with company leaders and other functional leads to support robust business analysis.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of work experience in relevant fields including finance teams or for accounting firms/investment banks.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering internal finance reporting projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with cross-functional business needs.
- Demonstrates strong ownership and a proactive mindset, anticipating needs, driving initiatives forward independently, and consistently following through to achieve results.
- Exceptional analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to coordinate, manage, and clearly communicate with diverse stakeholders across all levels and functions of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience in handling and analyzing large datasets would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial statement structure.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to collaborate with a globally-dispersed, diverse team of colleagues.
