Global Payroll Manager (Part‑Time)
The Global Payroll Manager will report to the COO and oversee all aspects of payroll operations for our international workforce. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across regions. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of multi‑country payroll regulations and practices, along with strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Fully own payroll processing cycles for the US, Germany, UK, and China regions in collaboration with external partners (ADP, etc.)
- Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time for all employees.
- Manage pension and insurance processes and oversee reporting‑related tasks.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory payroll requirements, including tax laws, wage regulations, and country‑specific rules.
- Maintain accurate payroll data and records, including employee information, timesheets, and other relevant payroll documents.
- Resolve employee payroll issues, discrepancies, and concerns in a timely manner.
- Process payroll accounting entries within NetSuite ERP (prior experience is not required but valued).
- Perform general ledger payroll reconciliations and analysis.
- Act as a key point of contact for employees regarding payroll processes and concerns.
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team on employee‑related matters.
- Stay informed on payroll‑related laws and best practices across jurisdictions and recommend policy or process updates, as necessary.
- Act as a key point of contact for statutory audits.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll management or accounting, ideally in an international, e‑commerce environment. Experience in accounting is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Familiarity with US, German, British, or Chinese payroll is preferred.
- Experience with ADP or other payroll systems is a plus.
- Attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and a collaborative team orientation.
- Fluent in English; German is a significant plus.
