The Role:
- Lead the delivery of combined transportation and warehousing & distribution services across the UK and EU.
- Act as the primary point of contact for European 3PL partners and the operational face of the Logistics Platform in the region.
- Ensure European operations consistently meet the cost, reliability, and service-level targets set by the platform's service catalogue.
Key Responsibilities:
- 3PL Partner Management: Own day-to-day relationships with European 3PL warehouses, lead regular performance reviews, service-level monitoring, and cost management.
- Transportation Execution: Manage European transportation flows: inbound from suppliers, intra-Europe transfers, and outbound to Amazon and other fulfilment partners.
- Warehousing & Distribution: Ensure European warehousing operations run reliably against the platform's service catalogue and manage exceptions.
- SOP Adherence & Continuous Improvement: Operate within and take ownership role in defining the SOPs authored by the Director of Logistics Operating Standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 6–10 years of progressive logistics or distribution experience in consumer goods, e-commerce, or retail; at least 3 years in regional or country-level logistics leadership.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable with NetSuite or comparable ERP for transactional operations; strong analytical foundation.
- Personal Attributes: Operationally oriented; strong written and verbal communication in English; willingness to travel regularly across the UK and EU.
First Six Months:
- Map and document the current European 3PL portfolio.
- Establish a standing operating cadence with each European 3PL.
- Onboard into the platform service catalogue and SOP framework.
- Build working relationships with the End-to-End SCM team and other key stakeholders.
