The role
What will you be doing?
Senior Sourcing Specialist
Location: Hybrid, Dorking or Basingstoke, 2-3 days per week
We are looking for a Senior Sourcing Specialist to join us here at Unum UK. You will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to reduce costs, create value and mitigate risk.
We are looking for someone to act as a trusted partner to the business, negotiating and administering contracts, ensuring alignment to strategic goals. You will manage RFP events, create and manage Service Level Agreements to measure supplier performance, and perform complex analysis to enhance business outcomes. You will also support and improve supply base development programs (e.g., supplier diversity, local economic development and sustainability programs).
What will you bring?
- Strong experience in Procurement, Category Management, Supplier Management.
- Sourcing experience across multiple spend categories.
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management and communication skills.
- Ability to proactively develop a deep and thorough understanding of business goals and objectives, then translate these into aligned sourcing strategies.
- Proven ability to develop and implement sourcing and negotiation strategies.
- Good experience of commercial contract formation and specification/SOW development.
- Experience performing financial analysis (i.e.: ROI, financial status, make vs. buy and bid comparison etc.)
- Demonstrated strong initiative with the ability to autonomously prioritise work, proactively identify opportunities and then deliver value.
- Proficiency in MS suite and vendor management platforms.
