The role What will you be doing? National Sales Manager – Strategic Accounts Home based – Travel to client sites/Unum offices required Unum UK is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Manager to join our Strategic Accounts Team. This a key role focused on strengthening senior-level broker relationships and driving strategic growth across our distribution channels. This person will work closely with the Head of Strategic Accounts, playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategic initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders across the Distribution function to foster a culture of continuous improvement, talent development, and alignment with Unum’s corporate strategy. As a leader, you will be responsible for coaching and motivating your team to achieve their full potential, ensuring individual and team targets are consistently met. You’ll also work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure a cohesive and connected approach to delivering business goals. This is a home-based role, with some requirement to travel to our Dorking office and other client sites customer experience for Unum’s key brokers or clients. What will you bring? Proven leadership experience in third-party sales, with strong coaching and people management skills. Background in Financial Services or Employee Benefits. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders. Strong track record of holding teams accountable for performance and results. Strategic thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels. Experience managing change and thriving in dynamic, evolving environments.
