The roleWhat will you be doing?
Finance Business PartnerLocation: Hybrid, total 3 days per week in the office. We would like this person to be in Dorking a minimum of 2 days per week (3 days preferred); potential to spend time in Basingstoke or London offices as well.
Unum UK are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our FP&A team. This is a high impact role where you will work closely with senior stakeholders across IT, Change and Risk Management functions, supporting complex projects and driving financial performance.
You will be responsible for partnering with senior leaders to deliver insightful financial analysis and performance reporting. You will lead monthly and quarterly MI information production, tracking KPI’s and delivering clear and concise summaries.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Support annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting, bringing market and economic context to financial insights.
- Advise senior stakeholders on financial impacts associated with complex business cases.
- Collaborate with Financial Reporting to ensure alignment between actuals and plans and explain key variances.
- Champion finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, helping us innovate and evolve.
- Coach and support junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
What you will bring:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong PQE
- Proven ability to partner effectively with IT and Change functions on complex portfolios/projects
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills – both written and verbal
- A natural storyteller, with the ability to translate financial data into business narratives
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency
- Experience in insurance or financial services is a plus, as is a passion for transformation and continuous improvement
