The role
What will you be doing?
We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer, who will be a key member of the UK Engineering and DevOps Team, providing expertise and automation solutions to the wider IT Delivery department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across teams to deliver a high-quality Developer Platform.
- Design, build, and support robust and secure automation solutions.
- Advise on, and support delivery teams with, CI/CD pipelines and SDLC tooling.
- Adopt, demonstrate, and encourage good DevOps and Platform Engineering practices.
- Take technical leadership of projects and coach/mentor other engineers.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive use of CI/CD tooling and scripting languages, such as Azure DevOps, Git, Artifactory, SonarQube, Cycode, PowerShell, bash.
- A working understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform.
- Application development using modern techniques and languages, such as Node.js, .NET, Python.
- Strong technical design and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with modern technologies such as virtualisation, containerisation, and cloud.
- Working knowledge of DevOps concepts, security, and practices.
- Keen to engage in technical and process improvement discussions and drive change.
- A history of delivering projects on-time and on-budget.
