The role
Unum is a leading provider of employee benefits, and we’re growing fast. To support that growth, we’re expanding our marketing capabilities and sharpening our focus on segmentation, personalisation, and customer experience.
We are looking for a Product Marketing Strategy Manager to shape and deliver product marketing strategies across the entire customer journey, from prospecting and acquisition through to engagement and long-term retention.
This is an influential role where you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure product marketing strategies are insight-led, commercially robust and aligned with wider business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead integrated product marketing plans across the full customer lifecycle, from acquisition to engagement and retention.
- Own a digital-first approach to product marketing enablement, leveraging online platforms and UX principles to drive customer engagement and product adoption.
- Embed data-driven decision-making by using market research, customer insight and performance analytics to continuously optimise product marketing strategies.
- Shape and deliver event marketing strategies that reinforce brand and product positioning and deliver measurable impact.
- Act as the marketing lead for product changes and developments, defining positioning, messaging and go-to-market plans in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with senior leaders to influence decision-making and ensure strategies are aligned to commercial and strategic objectives.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering product marketing strategies across the full customer lifecycle, including acquisition, engagement and retention.
- Strong people leadership capabilities, with experience in people management and coaching highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience in digital-first marketing enablement, using platforms and UX principles to enhance engagement and adoption.
- Expertise in insight-led decision-making, including market research, customer behaviour analysis and performance optimisation.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through collaboration.
