What will you be doing?
We are looking for a commercially minded Solicitor qualified in England and Wales, of around 1 -2 years PQE, perhaps already working in-house, or maybe looking to leave private practice, to join our team. As a key member of the Legal team, you will report to UK General Counsel, but work closely with Senior Legal Counsel to support our UK Group companies as well as partner with key stakeholders in the business to provide timely and relevant legal support and advice.
In particular, and as part of the Legal team, you will assume your own workload and undertake instructions from the business on a wide range of matters including:
- Co-ordinating the team mailbox
- Supporting on litigation matters
- Drafting and interpretation of insurance policy wording
- Broker arrangements and terms of business
- Advising on product initiatives
- Supporting with some supplier contracts and NDAs (including undertaking contract negotiations)
- Reviewing and drafting new insurance-related documents
- Revising existing documents
- Reviewing marketing literature
- Providing legal sign off where appropriate
Experience in financial services and an interest in IT and technology is preferable.
