What you’ll do in this role as our Quality Inspector:
- Conduct inspection activities across incoming goods, in‑process manufacturing, and final product release.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using a range of inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
- Support and complete First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in line with AS9102 requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to verify product conformity.
- Record inspection results accurately and maintain structured quality documentation and traceability records.
- Raise and support investigations into non‑conformances, ensuring issues are clearly documented and communicated.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve quality concerns and support corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality management standards and internal quality procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process capability, and inspection efficiency.
- Assist with calibration control and the proper use and care of inspection equipment where required.
What we’re looking for in a Quality Inspector:
- Experience within an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inspection techniques and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficiency in the use of inspection tools and measurement equipment.
- High attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach to documentation.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Confident communicator able to collaborate across engineering, quality, and production teams.
Nice to have:
- Hands‑on experience with First Article Inspection (FAI).
