Overview
We're looking for a Web Optimisation Specialist to own the day-to-day performance and continuous improvement of our website. At Unum, our website is a critical channel for engaging customers and supporting our marketing activity. This role plays a key part in ensuring the site is accurate, effective and continually improving and maintains high standards, while identifying opportunities to enhance user journeys, search visibility and conversion. You\'ll work across SEO, user experience and conversion optimisation to implement improvements, support ongoing updates, and help ensure unum.co.uk delivers a consistent, high-quality experience. It\'s a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail and making practical changes that drive measurable impact.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update website content to ensure alignment with marketing objectives and brand standards.
- Assist the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and digital marketing agency with the definition and implementation of a revised information architecture for unum.co.uk to provide an optimal user experience while delivering against business objectives.
- Support day-to-day updates and maintenance of unum.co.uk to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor website performance and conduct research activities to identify improvement opportunities.
- Follow best practices and implement recommended enhancements to improve user journeys.
- Support backlog and sprint planning in line with marketing objectives while ensuring adherence to WCAG AA accessibility standards.
- Implement agreed SEO best practices and technical recommendations in collaboration with our digital agency.
- Implement and support Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) changes such as page updates, content variations, journey improvements and testing outputs.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills with a focus on execution and attention to detail.
- Experience in website content management and implementing SEO best practices.
- Exposure or experience with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Kontent.AI) is advantageous.
