What will you be doing? We are hiring a DevOps Engineer, who will be a key member of the UK Engineering and DevOps Team, providing expertise and automation solutions to the wider IT Delivery department.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, build, and configure software solutions with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate within an agile team to deliver a high-quality Developer Platform.
- Support delivery teams with configuration of CI/CD pipelines and SDLC tooling.
- Adopt, demonstrate, and share good DevOps and Platform Engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Information Security.
- Ensure that solutions are secure and scalable.
- Comply with defined standards and best practices.
- Software development experience in at least one of Node.js, .NET, Python, Azure, Powershell, bash.
- Strong technical design, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Working knowledge of DevOps concepts, security, and practices.
- Experience with modern technologies such as virtualisation, containerisation, and cloud (preferably Azure).
- Confident when consulting with delivery teams.
- Able to champion DevOps practices.
- Keen to engage in technical and process improvement discussions.
- Focused on continuous improvement, through experimentation, training, and certification.
- Able to demonstrate a driven attitude, working hard to successfully deliver projects on-time and on-budget.
