The role involves:
- Leading and managing actuarial reporting activities, including Solvency II balance sheet, P&L results, monthly reporting and regulatory submissions.
- Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear, concise financial insights and technical guidance.
- Communicating complex actuarial concepts in a clear and engaging way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coaching and mentoring actuarial trainees, supporting their development and contributing to a high-performing team culture.
- Championing innovation in actuarial systems and reporting methodologies.
- Owning change activity supporting the wider transformation of the Finance Function.
What will you bring?
- A qualified actuary with strong experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into business narratives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional working.
- A keen interest in finance transformation and process improvement.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and expert-level Excel proficiency.
- Experience with actuarial systems, such as RAFM or Unify, would be a plus.
Location: Hybrid working. You'll spend 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home. Of the office-based days, at least 1 is in Dorking and the other 2 can be in Dorking, London or Basingstoke.
