The role
What will you be doing? We are looking for Trainee Claims Assessors to join us here at Unum. You will play a key part in delivering financial security and support to individuals and families when they need it most. You will be provided with full training and ongoing support to help you succeed in the role. - Assessing Claims: Learn to manage and assess claims using medical and policy knowledge.
- Customer Communication: Deliver clear, empathetic updates to customers throughout the claims process.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the Claims department while also managing your own caseload.
- Service Excellence: Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, always putting the customer first.

The ideal candidate will have a similar background in case management, insurance, banking or investigation work. Additionally, similar qualifications or experience in law, psychology, nursing or a related field have proved successful.
The successful Trainee Claims Assessor can expect:

From our experience, this position is commutable from Farnborough, down to Guildford or Horsham and across to Crawley and surrounding areas. We hire candidates for this position throughout the year, with planned start dates in June and November. Whilst these are our main intake periods, we welcome applications year round. We often begin recruitment two months prior to a planned start date.
