What you'll do in this role as Production Planner:
- Raise and manage production orders in our ERP system (e.g. Acumatica), aligned with demand and schedules.
- Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy across components, quantities, and revisions.
- Own short-term inventory planning to ensure material availability for production.
- Monitor stock levels and proactively resolve shortages with procurement and warehouse teams.
- Generate and issue pick lists to support accurate and timely material allocation.
- Coordinate daily and weekly production plans with the shop floor to ensure achievable schedules.
- Track production progress and adjust plans in response to demand or capacity changes.
- Ensure data integrity across planning, inventory, and production records within the ERP system.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes and system usage.
What we're looking for in a Production Planner:
- Experience in production planning, materials planning, or a supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g. Acumatica or similar).
- Good understanding of BOM structures and inventory management principles.
- High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally with production, procurement, and warehouse teams.
- Proficiency in Excel for tracking and analysis.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
- APICS/CPIM or similar certification.
