We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader role at our Manchester Dairy. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join us at our Manchester Dairy. We are seeking someone who has experience leading teams in high-volume, complex manufacturing environments and is motivated by the challenges these environments bring.
Location: Manchester
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Motivate the engineering team through effective leadership, coaching and development
- Control of contractors and maintenance suppliers through performance reviews
- Support Maintenance Excellence roadmap implementation plan for site
- Adherence to planned maintenance schedules through effective resource planning
- Adequate plant cover, as required, through effective resource planning
- Undertake analysis of CMMS data to assist forward planning, with opportunities for equipment improvement
- Fully support end to end PMS
- Review maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness
- RCA/5 Why analysis and other problem-solving techniques
- Support the site and departmental 5S programme
- Drive and support Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)/FMECA activities liaise with manufacturers of specialist machinery, equipment and component suppliers to promote standardisation, improvements and cost effectiveness opportunities
Your responsibilities as an Engineering Team Leader:
- People management including delivery of performance reviews, development and coaching of the team, and addressing employee relations issues
- Create purpose and direction around OGSM deliverables. Communicate OGSM and act as a role model for company values
- Ensure own activities are aligned to overall business objectives and understand how current performance impacts the bottom line
- Collaboratively work with other teams to improve the business
- Promote a strong safety culture at all times and ensure compliance with current H&S standards
- Deep knowledge of Operational Excellence; coach the team on the use of the principles and tools. Encourage engineering-based OE projects
- Utilise all available opportunities to enable others to improve the way we do things
Skills and experience needed:
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience working with process equipment and P&IDs
- Experience of managing an on-site team
- Approachable disposition and clear communication
