This corporate advisory PR agency are looking for a Practice Manager/ Business Manager to ensure the smooth running of the operations aspects of the business behind the scenes. This is an independent business of around 20 people and they cover very sensitive crisis and issues communications work for clients. The culture is very much one of proactivity and it is an exciting time for the business as they continue to grow and diversify their offering and team.

They are looking for a Practice Manager/ Business Manager to focus on delivery covering HR, IT and finance. While the role sits at the centre of the business and carries significant responsibility, it is not a strategic or business development role. Instead, the focus is on ensuring that the operational, financial and administrative aspects of the business run smoothly and reliably day-to-day.

You will be partnering with internal and external stakeholders ensuring things are kept up to date and accurate. You will be given a high degree of autonomy and should have a solution focussed approach. You will be able to multi task and prioritise to ensure everything is done on time and to a high standard.

To be successful in this role you will need experience in a similar business or organisation, ideally a communications consultancy. You will have a minimum of three years’ experience working in business support or an operational role and understand the set up of an independent consultancy environment. It is essential you have some experience of working with finance and understand the fundamentals of book keeping. Experience and knowledge of using Xero is an added bonus.

Most importantly you will be someone who is quick thinking, emotionally intelligent and a stickler for detail. People who work in this consultancy are intelligent, open and have low egos.
