With continued growth and investment in our Scottish operation, we are strengthening our Operations team and are looking for an experienced Multimodal Operator to join us. The Opportunity

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing import and export sea freight shipments from booking through to final delivery. Working closely with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, customs authorities, and internal teams, you will play a key role in ensuring shipments move efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance throughout the supply chain.

You will be joining a collaborative team environment where continuous improvement, operational excellence, and professional development are actively encouraged.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing import and export sea freight shipments from booking through to final delivery
  • Coordinating with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and suppliers
  • Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving delays or operational issues
  • Ensuring customs clearance and shipping documentation are completed accurately and on time
  • Maintaining accurate shipment records and milestones within CargoWise
  • Providing proactive shipment updates and exceptional customer service
  • Planning and arranging UK transport and final deliveries
  • Completing job costing, invoicing, and supplier cost verification
  • Ensuring customer SOPs, compliance requirements, and service standards are met
  • Building strong relationships with customers and logistics partners

What We’re Looking For

  • Essential Experience within a freight forwarding environment
  • Strong understanding of sea freight import and export operations
  • Experience managing shipments from booking through to delivery
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
