As an Assistant Principal working closely with the Principal, Deputy Principals, and Operations Manager, you will drive Unsworth Academy’s journey to ‘Exemplary Unsworth’ by providing strategic leadership and support across the academy.
Responsibilities
- Strategic responsibility for Inclusion, leading the academy’s inclusive vision and ensuring equity, access and excellence for all learners.
- Strategic oversight of SEND and Inclusion, driving high standards of behaviour, attendance and personal development.
- Champion adaptive teaching, ambitious curriculum pathways and effective intervention strategies to ensure all students, particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged learners, thrive both academically and personally.
- Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, working closely with families and external agencies to promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive excellence across the academy.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to champion the academy’s inclusive vision and create a culture of relentless dissatisfaction and continuous improvement.
