Position Overview: Full-time, 2-year convertible tenure track or continuing appointment at UNSW Kensington, Sydney. Salary ranges: Level B AUD $127,947 – $150,830 per annum + 17% superannuation; Level C AUD $155,403 – $178,290 per annum + 17% superannuation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to research in modern computing systems, including operating systems, distributed systems, system security and systems for AI.
- Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, develop curriculum and support student learning.
- Develop a research profile, engage in collaborative research, apply for competitive funding and publish in respected venues.
- Supervise HDR students and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Engage with industry, contribute to educational leadership and employ educational technologies.
- At Level C, demonstrate research leadership, supervise high-calibre students, and foster teaching excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- PhD in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
- Commitment to maintaining current discipline knowledge and developments.
- For Level B: experience in teaching and learning design at undergraduate/postgraduate level; experience in educational technologies; ability to support diverse students.
- For Level C: experience in curriculum development, leading research with high impact, securing funding, supervising HDR, teamwork, organisational skills, and industry interaction.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to training.
