This job is based in Australia. UNSW Business School extends a warm invitation to join our sessional teaching team for the redesigned Bachelor of Commerce where our students will experience a first‑year curriculum that is fully integrated around contemporary business themes and take an interdisciplinary approach to teaching world‑class business knowledge and skills.
The IFY introduces broad business content, contemporary business skills and essential career development activities to enable our students to look at business opportunities, problems, and issues through the lens of all our disciplines. This is achieved by integrating the content around business opportunities and problems, but also an awareness around different types of organisations.
To effectively deliver the face‑to‑face, hybrid and online tutorials and workshops that are “integrated”, innovative, and collaboratively taught across disciplines, we are looking for enthusiastic and experienced sessional/casual academic workforce who:
- Care about and genuinely enjoy helping others to progress through their life and learning journeys
- Have experience and demonstrated interests in coaching, mentoring, teaching, and facilitating
- Thrive in collaborative environments to build solutions that create value
- Are personally motivated to complete job related administrative tasks
We encourage expressions of interest from experienced tutors who are excited to collaborate across different disciplines and be a part of an integrated teaching team. We are recruiting tutors and workshop leaders throughout the year, and you will be contacted for an interview if your skills, qualifications, and experience are suitable for IFY.
The EOI portal will allow you to select which courses you would like to teach and the extent of your qualifications and experience so we can better assess your suitability and potentially meet your need for flexibility.
UNSW is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. Applications from women, people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, those living with disabilities, members of the LGBTIQ+ community; and people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, are encouraged. UNSW provides workplace adjustments for people with disability, and access to flexible work options for eligible staff.
