This job is based in Australia. The position is a full-time role located in Sydney, NSW and Canberra, ACT (UNSW Canberra, ADFA Campus or UNSW Sydney, Kensington Campus) for a duration of 10 months, fixed-term (35 hrs per week). Remuneration is Level A from $118,467 plus 17% super.
Why Your Role Matters
The project’s UNSW lead directs the Research Associate; responsibilities include conducting technical tasks, research activity in multidisciplinary settings, data analysis, AI, electrical engineering, power systems programming, scientific writing, and contributing to research publications.
Who You Are (Skills and Experience)
- A PhD in Data Analytics, Energy Management Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Optimisation, Computer Science or a similar discipline, with strong performance in research in autonomous systems, autopilots, swarm, robotics, or similar areas.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct innovative research.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with team members, collaborators, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, showing initiative and taking direction as appropriate.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within agreed time frames with suitable supervision.
