Why Your Role Matters
This position is open to candidates working on any time‑period, from Ancient History to Contemporary History, and any methodology, including oral history, gender history, the history of race, and more.
Responsibilities Summary
- Undertake high quality research and make an original contribution to History.
- Contribute to the research culture of UNSW.
- Create and publish high‑quality peer‑reviewed scholarly outputs.
- Organise, present, and participate in conferences and workshops, including a minimum of one public seminar or lecture in the School of Humanities & Languages.
Skills and Experience
- PhD in History, examined and awarded after 1 January 2021, or a PhD in the final stage of completion, to be examined before 1 February 2026.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research with limited supervision.
- A clearly defined research program.
- Potential to produce high‑quality publications and conference presentations.
