Details of the role

A Post-Doctoral Fellow (Level A) is expected to contribute towards the research effort of UNSW and to develop their research expertise through the pursuit of defined projects relevant to their particular field of research. The position will provide technical and research knowledge in the field of implementation science, contributing to a range of projects conducted within theImplementation to Impact program, School of Population Health.

The role of Post-Doctoral Fellow reports to the Deputy Director, Implementation to Impact program, and will have one direct report.

Some Key Skills Required

  • A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Contribute independently or as a team member in collaborative research with a focus to enhance the quality of research outcomes in the discipline area.
  • Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets.
  • Undertake discipline-appropriate research activities, e.g. trial design, surveys, literature reviews, data gathering and/or recording of results using appropriate research methods.
  • Participate in and/or present at conferences and/or workshops relevant to the project as required.
  • Assist with the supervision of research students in the research area where required.
  • Participate in Implementation to Impact activities to support the growth of the program.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting applied health services research.
  • Contribute to the design and conduct of applied implementation research to support the adoption, integration, and sustainability of evidence-based innovations in health service settings, using relevant implementation science frameworks (e.g., CFIR, RE-AIM, ERIC).
  • Support the translation of research into practice through the development and evaluation of tailored implementation strategies, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination of findings across academic, clinical, and policy settings.
  • Experience in implementation trial design within in health systems, is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
