Join UNSW to lead translational research on methamphetamine and emerging drug health problems. The role is full‑time (35 hours per week) with a fixed term until 30 June 2027, funded through the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) in the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead independent research programmes in clinical, community, or digital interventions focused on methamphetamine and emerging drugs.
  • Produce high‑impact outcomes and secure additional funding to support the National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED).
  • Collaborate across disciplines, engage stakeholders, and build effective relationships within the health translation hub.
  • Supervise 1–4 junior staff and provide mentorship and leadership.

Qualifications & Skills

  • PhD in medicine, public health, or a related field, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Proven commitment to staying current with discipline developments.
  • Demonstrated track record of research excellence and research leadership.
  • Strong teamwork, collaborative cross‑disciplinary engagement, and relationship‑building.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
