Opportunity

UNSW invites applications for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in an education-focused role. Faculty will receive support for professional development and will collaborate closely with students and colleagues to enhance the university’s teaching and learning communities.

  • Salaries: Lecturer (Level B) – AUD 127,947 to 150,830 + 17% superannuation
  • Senior Lecturer (Level C) – AUD 155,403 to 178,290 + 17% superannuation
  • Full time Fixed term – 2‑year convertible tenure track
  • Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia

Qualifications – Lecturer (Level B)

  • A PhD in Electrical Engineering with relevant work experience.
  • Commitment to staying current in discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Evidence of teaching, assessment and learning design at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
  • Experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
  • Industry or work‑integrated learning experience (desirable).
  • Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds; support equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Track record of high‑quality research impact and leadership potential.
  • Professional involvement with the engineering profession or industry.
  • High‑level communication, networking and team collaboration skills.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills.

Qualifications – Senior Lecturer (Level C)

  • Experience delivering courses and programs at undergraduate/postgraduate level.
  • Implementation of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and passion for educational leadership.
  • Track record of curriculum development and improvement.
  • Experience with industry or work‑integrated learning.
  • Support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds; equity, diversity, inclusion initiatives.
  • High‑quality research contrast, leadership capacity.
