About the Role

The role contributes to the design, delivery, and evaluation of clinical and communication skills teaching across the undergraduate Medicine program. Clinical skills, communication skills and simulation‑based education are integrated longitudinally throughout the BMedMD program. The Lecturer or Senior Lecturer reports to the Director of the BMedMD Program and may supervise academic and professional staff as required.

Key Qualifications

  • A medical degree registrable in NSW
  • A higher degree in a relevant discipline or a postgraduate qualification in medical education or higher education
  • Evidence of effective clinical teaching and assessment of clinical competence in a medical program
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with superior professional presentation
  • Demonstrated capacity to build strong relationships with students, academic staff and conjoint appointees
  • Experience organising and delivering professional development activities for staff
  • Evidence of ability to work well in a team
  • Sound understanding of university and faculty administration, practices, policies and procedures
  • Compliance with necessary pre‑employment checks is a condition of employment.
